- Spontaneous mutation: In 2003, a single plant within a vegetatively propagated planting of ‘Big Painted Lady’ was found to be early flowering with pink red flowers. Subsequent vegetative propagated generations of this plant between 2003 and 2011 were found to display the same flowering characteristics
- Characteristics
- A rounded shrub with large deep pink waxy flowers growing to approximately 2m high x 1.5m wide.
- Cultivation
- Prefers an open sunny or partly shaded position and grows in a wide range of free draining soils. Tolerant of hot dry conditions and has a low water requirement once established.
