- Seedling selection: from a batch of 2000 Dianella tasmanica produced in 2001. ‘Little Devil’ was selected based on plant habit, foliage colour and distinct foliage shape. PBR Status: Granted: 16-Dec-2008 Terminated: 14-Dec-2020
- Characteristics
- Compact strappy leaved shrub distinguished by an attractive red tinge to the base of the leaves (Basal leaf sheath: anthocyanin colouration (in summer) red-purple. Develops attractive purple berries in Summer.
- Cultivation
- Best in moist loamy soils. Easy to establish and is usually fairly hardy and frost tolerant. It does prefer some shade but can grow in heavy shade and is good for mass planting under large trees.
