- In 2013 a single seedling within a seed sown population of Syzygium australe seedlings, which were grown from seed collected from Syzygium australe ‘Resilience’, was discovered to be very compact and dwarfed. This seedling also displayed bright green new growth rather than the bronze colour of the other seedlings and its parent. The seedling like its siblings and parent was also found to be resistant to Psyllid attack. Resistant to Psyllid attack.
- Characteristics
- This selection is very compact and has vigorous growth which lends itself to being excellent for hedging. It displays bright green new growth. Shrub form 2-3 metres in diameter, flowers white with pink elongated fruit.
- Cultivation
- Fast growing. Best in well drained soils in full sun or part shade. Easily prunes to shape. Very vigorous.
