- Acacia floribunda `Gippsland Gold’ was selected from seedlings of A. floribunda in the garden of Mr Barry Hill.The name reflects the locality in which it originated and the golden variegated foliage. Application submitted in February 1994
- Characteristics
- This is a 1.5m x 2m high shrub with dense foliage. The leaves are pale green striped with lemon yellow. Flowers are pale yellow/lemon and are about 4cm long. DIAGNOSIS: Similar to A. floribunda except for the variegated foliage. Variegation is strongest on new growth and ages to pale green.
- Cultivation
- Some tolerance of frost and drought but can suffer sunburn if water stressed. The variegation has remained stable after several generations of cutting propagation.
