- A selection from a seed germination event. Self pollination followed by seedling selection: seed parent Acacia cognata. The parental form is characterised by a taller height and spreading habit. The breeder’s aim was to produce a short Acacia with weeping habit. Selection criteria: ‘River Cascade’ was chosen on the basis of curvature of branches at the distal end downwards and leaf colour.
