- Origin
- A selection from a seed germination event. Seedling selection: from Dianella caerulea Sydney ecotype. The parent is characterised by a tall plant height, medium plant density, medium length aerial stems and yellow green leaf colour. Selection took place in Clarendon, NSW in 1996. Selection criteria: bluish leaf colour compact habit, absence of aerial stems. PBR Status: Granted: 18-Oct-2005
- Characteristics
- A small clumping plant 50cm high x 40cm wide with blue strappy leaves and purple and yellow flowers from September to November.
- Cultivation
- Full sun to partial shade. Tolerates drought and cold. Prefers well drained soils, dryer soils needed for Sydney. Avoid very poor soils. Water as required until established. Plant in a well mulched garden with a coarse organic mulch.
