- A selection from a seed germination event. Seedling selection: from Dianella tasmanica Southern tablelands ecotype. The parent is characterised by a medium leaf width and medium leaf arching and a red brown basal leaf sheath. Selection took place in Clarendon, NSW in 1996. Selection criteria: broad leaf width. PBR Status: Granted:18-Oct-2005
- Characteristics
- Strappy leaved suckering shrub with broad arching leaves to about 0.5m high and blue – yellow flowers from September to November.
- Cultivation
- Best in moist loamy soils. Easy to establish and is usually fairly hardy and frost tolerant. It does prefer some shade but can grow in heavy shade and is good for mass planting under large trees.
