- Characteristics
- Dense shrub 3m(h) x 2m(w) with small leaves which are reddish pink when young turning deep green when mature. Comparitor: Syzygium smithii 'Cherry Surprise' Diagnosis: Syzygium smithii 'Sunrise' has small new leaves and reddish-pink new growth Syzygium smithii 'Cherry Surprise' has bright red new foliage growth which matures to deep green.

- Best in a moist well drained soil in a sunny spot but can be grown in part shade.
