Origin
As with the other variegated Lophostemon, L. 'Variegatus', the origin of this cultivar is not known. The specimen submitted for registration came from the Perth City Council Nursery.
Characteristics
Diagnosis: 'Perth Gold' differs from other known forms of L. confertus. in the irregular border variegation. The golden variegation covers from 20-95% of the leaves. The green central portion of some leaves extend to the margin, whilst areas of variegation sometimes extend to the midrib. Isolated areas of variegation occasionally occur within the green areas.
