Registration applied for by Patricia and Norman Moyle, Lot 224 Mulga Drive, Mandurah WA 6210.
Characteristics
A dense compact rounded shrub to 45cm high by 45cm wide after 4 years growth. The leaves are medium green, slightly ciliate, opposite, moderately open, 3mm long by 2mm wide with prominent oil glands. The flowers are mauve pink to 13mm across, held in dense terminal spike-like group s to 8cm long. The flowering period in WA is from November to March. Diagnosis: Verticordia 'Venus Princess' differs from Verticordia tumida, in its larger and more openly arranged leaves, its larger, flowering spike-like groups, flower colour and flowering period. It varies from Verticordia blepharophylla in its narrow leaves, with less conspicuous cilia, denser flower spike-like groups and more intense pink flower colour.
