- Hakea 'Gold Medal' is a variegated form of Hakea salicifolia that arose (as a sport) in cultivation. Registration applied for by Mr. B. Naylor, Kirrimar Nursery, Calamvale 4116.
- Characteristics
- The older foliage has cream to light green variegation. The new growth is rose pink for the species, though the main feature is the foliage.
- Cultivation
- Suitable for well drained soils.
Best in a sunny site but will tolerate some shade.
Frost resistant to -6C.
Responds well to pruning.
