- This cultivar has been recognised by the nursery trade for many years. It was described in a Boddy's Eastern Park Nursery catalogue (13th edition, 1966).
- Characteristics
- Boronia megastigma 'Virtuoso' is a colour form of B. megastigma differing from the norm in the very dark to near black coloured outside of the petals, anthers and carpel. The flowering period and form of the cultivar in all other respects is the same as for B. megastigma.
- Cultivation
- Grows best in well drained soils. Best in a sunny site but will tolerate some shade. It responds well to light pruning and is drought tolerant and reasonably frost hardy
