- Open shrub, 5m (h) x 2m (w) Flowers: Dark purple, 35mm x 10mm, from Aug-Oct Foliage colour: mid green Comparators: Eremophila bignoniiflora, E. viscida Reasons for distinctiveness: Thought to be a hybrid between Eremophila bignoniiflora and E. viscida. Eremophila bignoniiflora ‘Meringur Midnight’ has been selected for its large dark purple flowers and is a more compact shrub than other forms of Eremophila bignoniiflora.
- Cultivation
- This plant is very popular with nectar feeding birds and will tolerate heavy frosts and is suitable for a wide range of well drained soil types. Prefers full sun but will tolerate dappled shade.
