- Origin
- The origin is unknown and was acquired as a donated cutting. The name refers to the Hunter region of NSW where this cultivar grows particularly well.
- Characteristics
- Grevillea 'Hunter Beauty' is a prostrate shrub to 0.3m, spreading to 4m. Flowering is between August and September. The perianth is fawn/bright pink (limb brown, tip of styles green) and approximately 55mm long. The dense foliage is deep green but with bright red new growth. Diagnosis: G. 'Hunter Beauty' appears to be prostrate maybe a hybrid between G. asplenifolia and G. laurifolia as it has characteristics of both these species.
- Cultivation
- Shade tolerant, moderately drought hardy and chilling resistant but not frost tolerant. May suffer heat stress above 35C. It is hardier than G. laurifolia. Suitable for banks and rockeries. Easily propagated from cuttings.
