- Origin
- Chamelaucium 'Mullering Brook' was a selection of Chamelaucium uncinatum made from the wild at Mullering Brook, Western Australia. The cultivar was first received by the Authority in November 1981. Registration applied for by Mr R Aitken of the Wildflower Nursery Wanneroo, Western Australia.
- Characteristics
- This cultivar was selected because of its more upright growth habit. The selection can reach ca. 4m tall by usually less than 2m wide. Diagnosis: Besides the slightly different growth form, C. 'Mullering Brook' has flowers slightly smaller than average for the species. The flower does not open as wide as is usual. The flowering period under general garden conditions is considerably longer than for other cultivars of the species, flowering from June to December.
- Cultivation
- This selection requires similar conditions to C. uncinatum. The frost hardiness has not been tested but it is very drought tolerant.
