- Grevillea 'Grampians Gold' is a selected form of Grevillea alpina that was originally colected by Ms D Gavin of Mt Evelyn, Victoria. The plant was discovered in the Grampians. Cultivar received by the Authority 10 September 1989. The applicants are R. and G. Elliot, "Stringybarks", Belfast Road, Montrose, 3765, Victoria.
- Characteristics
- This cultivar has golden yellow flowers and the perianth is covered in prominent brownish hairs. All other characteristics are as for G. alpina. Diagnosis: Grevillea 'Grampians Gold' has golden yellow flowers and prominent rusty brown hairs covering the perianth segments. This distinguishes it from the normal colour forms of G. alpina which are red and yellow or red and cream.
- Cultivation
- Grows in moist, well drained gravels and soils, but adapts to heavy clays. Likes dappled shade, partial or full sun.
