- This plant was grown from seed purchased as Callistemon pallidus by the applicant Mr Glen Wilson around 1990 and has been in cultivation since then. Application received in October 2006.
- Characteristics
- This is an open, low spreading shrub which grows to approximately 1 metre high by 1.5 metres wide with grey green foliage. The large bottle brush flowers appear in October-November. Individual flowers are dusty pink/pale mauve and are 100mm long and 50mm in diameter. Diagnosis: A most attractive low spreading shrub with an unusual dusty pink/pale mauve flower colour.
- Cultivation
- Hardy, reliable and adaptable cultivar which flowers prolifically, growing well in most soils. Best in a sunny site but will tolerate some shade. It is adaptable to a wide range of soil types and shows a high degree of frost hardiness, though may suffer frost damage to the younger shoot growth when grown in areas that experience severe frost. Moderately drought hardy.
