Origin
This plant was found in a private garden in Benalla by the applicant Mr Glen Wilson who has been collecting and growing Callistemon cultivars for more than 40 years. Application received in October 2006.
Characteristics
This is an open, medium to large shrub which grows to approximately 3 metres high and 2 metres wide. Leaves are dull green in colour. The bottle brush flowers form in bunches from September to November. Individual flowers are bright pink, fading to paler tones and are 60 -70mm long and 25mm in diameter. Diagnosis: The distinguishing features of this cultivar are bright pink bottlebrush flowers which are borne in very large bunches.
Cultivation
CULTIVATION: It is adaptable to a wide range of soil types and shows a high degree of frost hardiness, though may suffer frost damage to the younger shoot growth when grown in areas that experience severe frost.Strikes easily from cuttings.
